The service
Alep is an online course for reading the Phoenician script and language, provided by —. The first four units, covering the complete alphabet, are free. Alep Pro unlocks every unit, every inscription and all practice modes.
About the content
Phoenician is known from inscriptions. Spellings and meanings follow the scholarly editions; vocalised readings are conventional reconstructions and are marked as such. The course is for learning and enjoyment, not a scholarly reference.
Subscriptions and trial
Pro is billed monthly or yearly in advance and renews automatically until cancelled. A first subscription starts with a free trial; you are charged when it ends unless you cancel before. You can cancel at any time in Billing; Pro then stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
Right of withdrawal (EU)
Consumers in the EU may withdraw from a subscription within 14 days of the contract without giving a reason, by writing to —. Because Pro is digital content supplied immediately, by starting to use it before the 14 days end you agree that the right of withdrawal expires once delivery has begun, to the extent the law allows.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Do not attempt to break, overload or game the service (for example the leaderboard); we may suspend accounts that do.
Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract. German law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
